Helping Herefordshire Move Better

Pain and injury don’t just affect sport, they can change the way you walk, work, sleep, exercise, and carry out everyday activities. Perhaps you’re struggling with a knee that makes stairs difficult, a shoulder that’s affecting your work, back pain that’s limiting your activity, or you’re rebuilding strength following surgery. Whatever your starting point, our aim is always to help you move with greater comfort, strength and confidence.

More Than Just Treatment

At Kinesis, we believe the best rehabilitation is relevant to real life. Your exercise programme shouldn’t simply be exercises to complete, it should help you understand your body, build your physical capacity, and gradually return you to the activities that are important to you.

Every person is different. Your symptoms, lifestyle, activity levels, and goals all influence how you move and what you need from rehabilitation. We work with people of all ages and activity levels who want to:

  • Walk further without discomfort

  • Get back into the garden

  • Stay strong and fit to play with your children / grandchildren

  • Return to work

  • Get up and down stairs more easily

  • Manage ongoing pain or stiffness

  • Look to improve strength, balance or mobility

  • Maintain independence

  • Want to feel better in their own body

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I have treatment if I am in pain?
Often, yes, although the appropriate approach depends on the nature of your symptoms. Your initial assessment will help determine what treatment and level of exercise is suitable for you.
Do I need to bring anything with me?
If you have relevant medical information, scan reports, details of previous treatment, or any other documentation relating to the issue you are experiencing, these can be helpful to the person treating you. Otherwise, simply bring yourself and be prepared to talk through your symptoms and goals.
I’m not sure what treatment I need. Can you help?
Absolutely, you don’t need to know what service is right for you before getting in touch. If you’re unsure, contact Kinesis, and we can discuss this before booking a session.
Do I need to be in sport to benefit?
Not at all. Kinesis works with people of all activity levels. Whether you’re recovering from an injury or want to move more comfortably in everyday life, any treatment can be tailored to you.
What happens in my first appointment?
Your first appointment will begin with a detailed discussion about your symptoms, your goals, and how your problem is affecting your daily life or activity, which is then followed by an appropriate physical assessment. After these couple of steps, we will discuss the findings and agree on a treatment and rehabilitation plan.
Is parking available?
Yes, free private parking is available at Kinesis.
Do I need a GP referral?
No, you can book directly with Kinesis without a GP referral or consultant referral. If your symptoms suggest that further medical assessment is required, this will be discussed with you.
Is Kinesis suitable for older adults?
Yes, rehabilitation and movement are for all, not exclusively about sports or performance. Kinesis works with people who simply want to move better and enjoy everyday life.
