SPORTS MASSAGE

We prefer to use the term Soft Tissue Therapy

This is because “sports” puts off people and “massage” is a disservice to how much we can achieve during our sessions. When hands-on Soft Tissue Mobilisation techniques are used alongside other Therapies, Movement and Exercise, amazing results can happen.

Why Kinesis?

We understand that everyones treatment plan differs and these should be tailored to your individual needs; whether you are an athlete recovering from injury, training or competition OR you enjoy walking the dog, attending classes/ recreational running/ cycling/ swimming OR you are suffering from work-related niggles, tension and hormonal headaches.

We use a wide range of treatment modalities including; Soft Tissue Therapy, Joint/ Spinal Mobilisation (if required), Vibration Therapy, Cupping Therapy, Tool Assisted Massage plus some less common treatment methods known as brain-based exercises which add a neuro-sensory input to recovery.

A Lasting Recovery

We listen to you, involve you in which treatments can be used and by doing this we believe that it elevates your recovery and allows you to identify where/ when niggles occur to allow you to get back to doing that activity pain free. We encourage Thoughtless Fearless Movement which means carrying out an activity without the fear of something going wrong.

More than a just Massage

We are trained Sports Therapists at Degree level, and due to our extensive knowledge about how injuries occur, how they can affect day-to-day living and sporting endeavours, we can implement the appropriate rehabilitation by using up-to-date evidence-based practice to find the best ways to help you.

Therefore, we are happy during our sessions to advise you on ways you can help yourself between our treatment sessions through movement and exercise programmes.

We want you to leave feeling empowered and have a sense of direction following our treatment intervention and find strategies that work for you moving forward.
